Mark Wilson: Coaching With a Rope Up Instead of a Weight

As an MPD leader or coach, support raising standards are there to help people identify success. Often our job is to coach people towards achieving those standards, but sometimes standards can be used in a way that weighs people down, making a low performer’s struggle even greater. Join Mark Wilson, Director of SRS, as he looks at some ways MPD coaches can offer a rope to help staff and ways to give constructive feedback.

Mark Wilson,
August 2021 Mark serves as the Director for SRS. Has lived and ministered on personal support since 1995. The first fifteen years in Germany and the last eleven in the USA. In various ministry roles he’s held over the years he learned how personal support raising impacted great commission work in being the number one factor in staff leaving from his field teams and the number one reason his recruits wouldn’t commit to going or failed to reach the field. Driven to find a solution he discovered SRS, which grew into a transformational relationship and eventually a new calling. He joined the SRS Team June 2019. Mark has been married to Kathy since 1994 and they have three kids, Abby (21), Samuel (19) and Moyra (15).
